About Us

Who we are

2B Equine builds practical, beginner-friendly, and progression-focused education for the equestrian community. We believe every rider—whether returning to the saddle after years away or stepping into the arena for the first time—deserves clear, accessible instruction that builds confidence from the ground up.

Our curriculum is carefully designed to make learning feel approachable yet meaningful. Each course follows a logical sequence, helping riders understand why each step matters as much as how to do it. Whether you ride Western or English, our programs balance horsemanship, safety, and performance with an emphasis on creating calm, willing partnerships between horse and rider.

We serve a wide range of students: barrel racers refining fundamentals, homeschool families seeking accredited equine education, and English riders looking to strengthen groundwork and communication. Every lesson is rooted in real-world experience and supported by videos, demonstrations, and exercises you can put to work immediately.

At 2B Equine, our mission is simple—to make quality equestrian education available to anyone who loves horses and wants to grow.

Jennifer Ballard

About Your Trainer

Jennifer Ballard has spent over 20 years training horses and coaching riders across multiple disciplines, building a reputation for creating confident riders and fundamentally solid horses that perform under pressure. She got her start in a reining barn, training reining horses and later competed in AQHA and other breed organizations, gaining experience both inside and outside of the barrel arena.

That broad background shaped the way Jennifer teaches today. Rather than chasing quick fixes or gimmicks, she focuses heavily on foundational elements that create softness, responsiveness, confidence, and consistency in both horse and rider. Her programs are built around the belief that strong fundamentals are what allow riders to succeed no matter the discipline, arena, or level of competition.

Over the years, Jennifer has worked with thousands of horses and hundreds of riders at every stage of their journey. What separates her from many trainers is her ability to teach people, not just train horses. She’s known for breaking down complex concepts into practical, step-by-step instruction riders can actually understand and apply.

Today, Jennifer combines her experience in reining, horsemanship, and barrel racing to create programs that help riders build more confident, capable partnerships with their horses - whether they’re working on groundwork, improving consistency, preparing for competition, or simply becoming better horsemen and horsewomen overall.

What Our Riders Are Saying

Testimonial

"Before this, every run felt rushed and chaotic. I was constantly guessing and my horse felt like he was fighting the pattern the whole time. Now he stays with me and the turns finally feel smooth again." -Elizabeth R, 55

"I had tried so many things and nothing ever carried over into my actual runs. My rides always felt stressful and rushed. This is the first time my horse and I have felt calm and consistent together. — Sarah S, 40"

Walking into the arena used to feel like a gamble.
Now I ride in confident instead of guessing - and my runs are finally getting faster because the turns feel controlled.”"

— Carol K., 38
